Agartala: Tripura MLA Paul Dangshu recently returned from the National Conference of State Legislatures Legislative Summit 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. He represented India alongside lawmakers and policymakers from across the globe. The trip served as a high-level exchange of ideas on public policy and administration.
Dangshu toured the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He studied foreign affairs and cultural approaches to local governance. These lessons aim to sharpen public service delivery in Tripura. Dangshu said, "a great experience to once again be part of a global platform where legislators from different states, countries and political backgrounds come together to learn, exchange ideas and understand different approaches to governance."
He credits the NCSL and NLC India for the opportunity to study innovative administrative practices. These global connections allow for practical policy adjustments. He plans to use these insights to improve future legislative work. Dangshu noted the trip helped him understand how to refine his role in state government. His focus remains on applying new concepts to local challenges.
