Tripura Governor Marks 63rd Legislative Assembly Anniversary

Agartala: Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu called the Tripura Legislative Assembly the temple of democracy during its 63rd anniversary celebration. He stood in the assembly lobby to address the state's lawmakers. He reminded them of their core duty. "The representatives of the people have come to the Legislative Assembly not for themselves but to serve those who have elected them by trusting and believing in them," said Governor Nallu.

Nallu touted recent government progress. Officials point to gains in law enforcement, infrastructure, and farming. He noted specific success in supporting the state's tribal population. The governor wants the government and the opposition to keep working together. He hopes for continued development across the region.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath traced the state's path from accession to full statehood. He urged the current house to keep serving the public interest. Opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhury also spoke at the event. He praised the strength of India's democracy and honored the work of former legislators.
