Agartala: Tripura farmers hit a new milestone. The state shipped a fresh batch of organic goods to Dubai this week. Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath flagged off the consignment destined for Gulf countries. The produce will hit shelves through Lulu Retail, a massive chain across the region.

The shipment packs a variety of local goods. Workers loaded 1,300 aromatic lemons, 182 kg of Kalikhasa rice, and 350 Queen pineapples. These items came from three distinct local farmer producer companies in Khowai, South Tripura, and Gomati districts. This move shows the state is serious about reaching global markets.

Nath praised the effort. He said, "This is not just an export; it is a proud recognition of the hard work of Tripura’s farmers, the success of our organic farming, and the state’s growing acceptance in international markets."

Officials are pushing hard to boost local farming. They want better branding and certification to help growers. This follows a recent sale of dried bird's eye chilli to Germany. Success is building. Now, the state hopes to keep the momentum going for local producers.
