Agartala: Construction crews are putting the final touches on Tripura’s new international cricket stadium in Narsingarh. Work should wrap up by October 2026. This venue will become the second international-standard cricket ground in Northeast India. It follows Assam’s lead in building big-league sports infrastructure.

Ram Kripal Singh Construction Pvt. Ltd. handles the project. The total bill sits at Rs 185.13 crore. Records show that crews finished nearly Rs 178 crore of the job by June 30. Workers have already moved Rs 37 crore in gear to the site, including floodlights and air-conditioning units.

The remaining Rs 7 crore in tasks involve setting up the Integrated Building Management System, roofing, and interior work. Foundations for all six high-mast lighting towers are ready. Crews just need to mount the steel structures and install the lamps. Officials expect the general gallery and premium seating sections to be done by late June.

State authorities have their eyes on the Indian Premier League. They want the Board of Control for Cricket in India to certify the site for top-tier matches. Tripura Cricket Association Secretary Subrata Dey says the team is focused on the finish line. He noted that the "timely completion of the remaining works and installation of essential systems would be crucial in transforming the venue into a world-class cricket facility."
