Agartala: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha convened a high-level meeting Saturday to force progress on state infrastructure. He grilled top officials about frequent lapses in electricity services. The review included Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, and Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha.
Saha demanded reliable electricity for all residents. Representatives from the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited joined the briefing to explain ongoing grid hurdles. The Chief Minister stressed the need for steady, uninterrupted power supply. He refused to accept delays.
The meeting shifted to the Agartala Smart City initiative. Saha checked the status of development projects currently underway in the capital. He also tackled the crumbling state of the roads. He tasked the Public Works Department with the immediate repair and maintenance of national highways across the state.
Government sources confirmed the agenda focused on speed. Officials must accelerate work on all pending projects. "Emphasis was also laid on ensuring uninterrupted power supply," according to reports from the session.
