Imphal: Traffic is moving again on National Highway-37. Empty trucks and light vehicles started crossing the Shantikhunou stretch near the CRPF camp on Thursday. Heavy rains and flooding recently washed away the temporary road diversion at this site.

Police now direct traffic through an unused concrete culvert. Officers from the Kamai Police Station work alongside road crews to manage the flow. The authorities are watching the crossing closely. If the empty trucks pass without trouble, officials will allow loaded freight vehicles to cross soon.

"If empty trucks continue to cross the damaged section without any difficulty, loaded trucks will also be permitted to use the culvert under the supervision of police personnel and the road construction company," authorities stated.
