Kohima: The Tizit Area Students’ Union held a drug awareness program in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department to mark Martyr’s Day. The event, held under the theme War against Drug, brought together students from Government Higher Secondary and M Jon Higher Secondary schools alongside community leaders from the Konyak Union and Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong.

They addressed the rising threat of substance abuse and the spread of HIV and AIDS among the youth, urging the public to work together to create a safer society. The speakers emphasized that collective action remains the most effective tool in combating these social dangers.
TASU president Nokmao Konyak used the occasion to pay tribute to a former union official who died while fighting social evils and drug abuse.
