Three Dead After Head-On Motorcycle Crash in Tripura

Agartala: Two motorcycles collided head-on in the Santchand area of Tripura on Sunday, September 6, leaving three dead and three others critically wounded. The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 pm near the Dasarath Deb Memorial Residential School in the Sabroom Subdivision. Impact force sent riders and passengers flying onto the pavement.

Local witnesses rushed to the scene to pull victims from the wreckage. They transported the group to the Kalachhara Primary Health Centre. Medical staff declared Mukesh Tripura, Sunny Dewan Tripura, and Sanjib Tripura dead on arrival. Doctors said, "The collision was so intense that the impact sent the riders and passengers flying onto the road."

Prahor Tripura and two young women remain in serious condition. Hospital staff transferred them to the Shantirbazar District Hospital for higher-level care. Police are investigating the wreckage. Early reports point to reckless driving and excessive speed as the primary drivers of the carnage.
