Guwahati: A head-on collision between an SUV and a truck claimed three lives in Assam’s Kamrup district on Thursday. The fatal accident occurred in Gauripur, near North Guwahati.
Police officials reported that the truck was traveling on the wrong side of the road when the oncoming SUV struck it at high speed. The force of the impact left the SUV destroyed, leaving it as a heap of twisted metal.
Local authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The incident has drawn attention to the ongoing risks posed by reckless driving and vehicles traveling in the wrong lanes on Assam highways.
