The Shillong Times Suspends Publication for Independence Day

Shillong: The Shillong Times is shutting down operations on August 15. The office and press remain dark for the Saturday holiday. Independence Day marks a break in production. Consequently, readers will find no edition of the newspaper on August 16.

Staff confirmed the Sunday closure in a brief notice to the public. Management extended well wishes to the community as the nation marks the milestone. "We wish our esteemed readers a happy 80th Independence Day," the company stated.
