Student Group and Child Helpline Launch Hostel Inspections in Mokokchung

Kohima: The Ao Students' Conference has partnered with Child Helpline Mokokchung to launch a comprehensive inspection drive across hostels in and around Mokokchung. This initiative assesses the living conditions, safety standards, and overall welfare of students residing in these facilities.

Organizers confirmed that the inspections will take place in phases to ensure every hostel in the district is covered. The project aims to guarantee that students have access to a healthy and conducive environment while raising awareness about child protection resources.

According to the organizers, the joint exercise reflects the commitment of both groups to "safeguarding the well-being and holistic development of students in the district through regular monitoring and awareness initiatives." By providing oversight, the groups hope to foster safer housing options for the local student population.
