Kohima: The All Sümi Students' Union started its regional tour on Thursday. The group aims to inspect the ground realities within Zunheboto. Officials visited Government High School in Atoizu, Government High School in Apukito, and the Primary Health Centre in Apukito.
The team held a joint coordination meeting with the Atoizu Town Council. They addressed the long-term plan to turn Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu into a full-fledged engineering college. This project remains in the pipeline. Leaders discussed various institutional development issues and ways to improve local education. "The tour aims to engage directly with educational and healthcare institutions, identify concerns and strengthen coordination with local stakeholders," stated the union.
This initiative continues through the coming days. The union plans to visit every Sümi-inhabited area. They will check on other schools and health centers to identify gaps in service.
