Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang rolled out the CM-SAATHI initiative on July 17. The program provides free coaching for JEE and NEET exams to more than 2,000 students. It covers over 40 private and government schools throughout the state. The project runs alongside the central government SATHEE portal to bring expert video lessons, mock tests, and practice materials directly to students.

Officials want to level the playing field. Money should not stop a student from succeeding. Tamang said, "CM-SAATHI will provide free, world-class coaching and academic support for JEE and NEET aspirants and ensure that quality coaching reaches the homes and schools of our students, regardless of their financial background."

IIT Kanpur will help upgrade local science and math teachers. This training ensures instructors can better guide those eyeing medical or engineering careers. Tamang already asked the Union Ministry of Education to expand this model. He wants similar help for students chasing spots in the CUET, CLAT, NDA, and UPSC exams.

The Chief Minister credited the Ministry of Education, IIT Kanpur, the SATHEE team, and the Sikkim Education Department for the rollout. He expects the effort to churn out a new generation of doctors, engineers, and scientists. He demanded hard work from the students and active support from their parents and teachers.
