Gangtok: Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur marked two years in office on July 31. He became the state's 18th Governor on that date in 2024. He wants to change things. Mathur pushed to make the Raj Bhavan more accessible by ditching rigid conventions in favor of public engagement.
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang congratulated the Governor on reaching this milestone. Tamang credited Mathur for his steady guidance and support of state development initiatives during his tenure. Mathur promised to keep serving the public through an open approach.
"I have worked to make Raj Bhavan more accessible to the people by moving away from rigid conventions and promoting greater public engagement," Mathur said. He remains focused on strengthening the bond between his office and the citizens of Sikkim.
