Shillong: The Shillong Traffic Police issued a travel advisory for the 5th Sohra International Half Marathon on September 4. The race runs from Laitsohpliah to Mawsmai View Point.
Expect heavy delays. Officers will stagger all vehicles heading toward Sohra at Umtyngar Bridge and every local junction. Restrictions begin at 4:30 AM and remain in effect until the race ends.
Emergency vehicles retain full access. Officials will move them through the gridlock without delay. Superintendent of Police for Traffic, Dr Hari Prasanth MR, addressed the situation today. "Any inconvenience caused to the public is regretted," he said.
