Rotary Club of Shillong hosts health camp for over 300 residents

Shillong: The Rotary Club of Shillong hosted a multi-speciality health camp at SKK Vidya Bharati School in Mawbah this past Saturday. A total of 317 local residents received free medical consultations and care throughout the event.

A team of nine doctors provided specialized services for those in attendance. The medical team included Dr. Dawan Ohi Baum, Dr. Gokul A. Nair, Dr. Nari Walang, Dr. Jupirika Pyrbot, Dr. Abhijit Bhatia, Dr. Walam Kupar Khongwir, Dr. AK Das, Dr. Darles Thubru, and Dr. KS Elangbam.

Beyond clinical examinations, the program featured educational sessions focused on personal health, general sanitation, and menstrual hygiene. Participants also received free medication and refreshments provided by the organizers.

Key community leaders and organizers attended the event, including Mawbah Rangbah Shnong Aresstone Thabah, Rotary Club president Chandana Das, and Dr. Santram Joshi, the president of the School Management Committee.
