Guwahati: Local residents in the Narenga Aunihati area of Boko intercepted a truck hauling 24 cattle on Friday night. The vehicle vanished soon after the animals were unloaded. The driver hit the gas and fled the scene before any authorities arrived. Police had not reached the location by the time this report was filed.

Chaos followed the unloading. Some residents took cattle for themselves while others roamed the open ground nearby. A few animals now sit in the custody of local citizens. No suspected cattle transporter was caught at the site during the incident.

The event sparked deep concern across the neighborhood. Residents are demanding police intervention and want official action taken. One local source noted that the situation has left the community uneasy, stating, "Residents have called for police intervention and appropriate action in connection with the incident."
