Imphal: Fresh violence erupted near the India-Myanmar border this week. Houses burned in Manipur’s Kamjong district as the state struggles to contain the fire of conflict. Phaimol, Kongkan Thana, and Shangkalok villages reported significant destruction.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pointed the finger directly at the Narendra Modi government. He argued that the ongoing unrest stems from a divisive ideology. Gandhi claimed this approach has deepened social splits across religious and ethnic lines.

Gandhi took to social media to voice his frustrations. "Manipur has been burning for years, and again, homes have been reduced to ashes in the fire of hatred and violence," he stated. He noted that even with President’s Rule, the situation shows no sign of cooling down.

The region remains on edge. Kuki and Naga organizations are trading blame for the latest attacks. Thousands have died since the fighting began. Families remain shattered while waiting for relief that has yet to arrive.
