Imphal: The Press Information Bureau hosted the Vartalap media workshop in Imphal on June 24. Government officials and journalists gathered at Hotel Imolesh to review 12 years of administrative performance. The day focused on how news outlets help move information from official channels to remote corners of the state.

Th. Charanjeet Singh, Director of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, urged for tighter bonds between reporters and the government. He noted that while the state rolls out welfare schemes, the media makes sure those programs actually reach the people. He said, "the media plays a crucial role in ensuring that information reaches people in every corner of the state."

Engam Pame, head of the PIB regional office, called for a fresh national mindset. He argued that every citizen must take part in community building. Experts followed the opening with deep dives into federal policy. A. Dhaneshor Singh of the CGST Imphal Commissionerate broke down economic shifts and GST changes. Professor Angom Dilipkumar Singh from Manipur University examined the National Education Policy 2020. The event served as a hub for experts to debate reform and public outreach.
