Kohima: Meyabi Arho Niphi earned the National Anubhav Award 2026. He received the honor on August 17 at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, handed him the award. It recognizes over three decades of service at Oil India Limited.

Niphi worked as the chief general manager for HR-Learning. He remains the first person from Oil India Limited to land this specific prize. The firm operates under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. His career focused on human resource management, industrial relations, and institutional capacity building. He built a reputation for people-centric governance.

Officials chose 15 retired staff members from ministries and organizations nationwide for the win. The selection process was tough. A government statement noted that the award honors those with "distinguished service." Niphi stands as the sole representative from his company to be recognized.
