Kohima: The Naga People's Front Kiphire Divisional Unit gathered in Pungro Town on May 28 to address regional political strategies and internal party cohesion. Leaders, grassroots workers, and frontal organization representatives met at the local Multi-purpose Hall to discuss strengthening the party's foundation.

S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, the advisor for Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guards and Civil Defence, Relief and Rehabilitation, addressed the attendees. He stressed the need for NPF members to move past tribal, religious, or clan-based biases. Yimchunger called on the party to remain a dedicated protector of Naga cultural values and regional interests while fostering a unified front for future development.

Discussions also addressed the ongoing partnership between the NPF and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party. Khamong, the president of the 60 A/C area unit, explained that the alliance is intended to combine the ideologies and responsibilities of both parties. He described the partnership as a collaborative effort to promote collective progress and prosperity across Nagaland rather than a merger where one entity absorbs another.

The event featured remarks from several key figures, including divisional president Tsaseto Sangtam, area unit presidents Yangtsali and Khamong, and central women's wing vice president Throngkila. The assembly included representatives from the 59 Sitimi-Seyochung and 60 Pungro-Kiphire constituencies alongside various village-level office bearers.
