Guwahati: Northeast Frontier Railway officials set up shop at Lumding Railway Station on October 26. They held a Jan Samvad programme to grill passengers for feedback. The event drew Senior Divisional Railway Commercial Manager Dhruvajyoti Nath and a host of departmental staff to the platform.

The agency wants better results. They used the session to collect direct input on station cleanliness, general travel experiences, and facility upgrades. Every suggestion will help the administration spot service gaps and fix them. The initiative aims to make the rail system more responsive to local needs.

Safety took center stage during the talks. Staff pushed riders to avoid crossing tracks and to stay alert when boarding or getting off trains. Officials reminded everyone to protect property and keep the premises tidy. They stressed the importance of following regulations, noting that the goal is to "strengthen communication between passengers and railway officials."
