NNC PB Warns Against Extortion in Dimapur Districts

Kohima: The Naga National Council (NNC) PB is cracking down on shakedowns. Z. Royim, president of the NNC PB, warned residents and business owners in Niuland, Dimapur, and Chumoukedima districts today. They must stop paying any group or individual demanding shop taxes or forced donations under the organization's name.

Unauthorized collections are strictly prohibited. The leadership made it clear that those caught shaking down the public will face heavy consequences. "Strict action would be taken against any individual, national worker or others found collecting tax without proper authorisation from the deputy finance kilonser," Royim said. Anyone continuing these illicit demands acts at their own risk.

The organization is cutting off unauthorized collectors. If you have questions about whether a request is legitimate, contact S. Yepthomi at 7085202012 or 7629993788.
