Justice Dere stressed the need for grit. She told the crowd, "There is no substitute for hard work, perseverance, and continuous self-improvement." Students must pair their legal training with strict ethics and a firm commitment to public service.
The university opened a new Moot Court Room during the visit to boost courtroom skills. Officials also kicked off a new Student House System to improve mentorship across the campus. Vice-Chancellor in-charge Kerpa Meida Lyngdoh Nongbri and Registrar Prof. Baharul Islam tracked the school's growth since it opened three years ago. The institution now aims to sharpen its focus on Meghalaya's specific legal requirements through hands-on, local training.
