Shillong: North Eastern Hill University in Tura, Meghalaya, is hiring one Junior Research Fellow. The position supports a Department of Biotechnology funded study centered on the development of a vegetative propagation protocol and vacuum freeze-dehydrated probiotic powder using Sohiong fruit. Principal Investigator Dr. R. Sasikumar, an Associate Professor of Food Technology, leads the project.

Candidates need a first-class M.Sc or M.Tech degree. Relevant fields include Food Technology, Biotechnology, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture Process Engineering, or Bioprocess Engineering. Applicants with prior work in food testing labs, experience with HPLC, DSC, FT-IR, or knowledge of FSSAI and ISO standards have a distinct edge. The university prioritizes those familiar with statistical tools.
