Shillong: The National Law University in Shillong has announced recruitment for six guest faculty positions for the 2026 academic year. The university is seeking educators across three specific disciplines, with two vacancies each available in law, management, and mathematics or statistics.
Prospective applicants must meet the qualification and eligibility standards established by the University Grants Commission. Compensation packages are structured based on the applicant's academic level and experience. The university stated, "Guest Faculty shall be paid an honorarium in accordance with their qualifications and experience."
For those at the assistant professor level, pay is set at Rs 1,500 per teaching hour, capped at Rs 50,000 per month. Associate professors can earn Rs 2,500 per hour up to a monthly maximum of Rs 75,000. Experts at the professor level will receive Rs 5,000 per hour, with a monthly ceiling of Rs 1,00,000.
