Nagaland University Wraps Up Six-Day Hindi Writing Camp

Kohima: Nagaland University finished its six-day Hindi Creative Writing Camp on Saturday. Held at the Kohima campus, the event brought together young writers from Assam, Tripura, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland. The Department of Hindi and the Central Hindi Directorate, under the Union Ministry of Education, ran the workshop.

Participants spent the week working with experts on modern Hindi literature. They focused on sharpening their creative skills across multiple genres. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Venuh served as the chief guest at the final session held in the Department of Hindi conference hall. He pushed for more Hindi language advocacy in the northeast. Sarita Yadav, the IAS Secretary of Higher and Technical Education for Nagaland, attended as the guest of honor.

Central Hindi Directorate Director Prof. Hitendra Kumar Mishra spoke during the ceremony. Assistant Director Natthulal detailed the camp's successes. Experts insisted on the value of this work. "Experts at the event underscored the continuous need to encourage the study, writing, and creative use of Hindi across non-Hindi speaking areas," organizers noted.

Dr. Munni Chaudhary led the valedictory session. Research scholar Nainung Nonang compered the event. Ajay Suba gave the welcome speech, and Camp Coordinator Dr. Brijesh Kumar finished the day with a vote of thanks.
