Kohima: A nationwide campaign focused on tribal welfare has launched across Nagaland to connect remote communities with government services. Known as the Information, Education and Communication initiative, the program operates under the PM JANMAN and DA-JGUA schemes with a goal of ensuring that welfare reaches those living in the most isolated areas.

In Zunheboto, officials met to coordinate local efforts. The district plans to hold awareness drives across several areas, including Akuluto, Suruhuto, and Pughoboto, from May 25 to May 27. ADC Shaying Sheu stressed the importance of these efforts, noting that the collective work of various departments is essential to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to benefit from state resources.

Longleng launched its phase of the campaign on May 18. Through May 25, the district is hosting a variety of services, ranging from health camps and Aadhaar enrollment to formal grievance sessions. A review meeting is scheduled for the end of the week to evaluate the reach and success of these saturation drives.

Phek also held an official launch ceremony involving district leadership and heads of offices. The campaign serves as a broad push to foster inclusive development by bringing government support directly to tribal populations and particularly vulnerable groups. These combined efforts across the state aim to strengthen public awareness and close the gap in service delivery through active cooperation between the government and local citizens.
