Kohima: The government of Nagaland has officially launched a campaign to prohibit single-use plastic across all villages in the state. This move comes in direct response to recent mandates issued by the Supreme Court regarding environmental protection and waste management.

State authorities are now working to enforce these restrictions at the local level to curb plastic pollution. Officials aim to ensure that village councils actively participate in eliminating non-biodegradable waste to align with national sustainability standards.
