Nagaland Faces Four Days of Storms and Heavy Rain

Kohima: Storms are coming. The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority predicts unsettled weather across the state starting July 1 through July 4. Expect lightning and steady rainfall to hit most districts as the week progresses.

Thunderstorms will strike Chümoukedima, Kohima, Longleng, Meluri, Mokokchung, Mon, Peren, Tseminyu, Tuensang, and Zunheboto on July 1. Dimapur, Noklak, and Wokha will also see rain. The system keeps moving on July 2, hitting the same areas with moderate precipitation. Scattered showers will dampen Dimapur, Niuland, and Wokha.

The wet weather intensifies on July 3. Thunderstorms target Kiphire, Longleng, Meluri, Mon, Noklak, Tseminyu, Wokha, and Zunheboto. By July 4, storms will cover nearly every major district in the state. Officials warn residents to stay sharp. The authority stated, "Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority urged citizens to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during periods of adverse weather."
