Kohima: Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister T. R. Zeliang highlighted the state's escalating power crisis on Thursday while advocating for sustainable energy infrastructure. Speaking at a conference titled Climate Smart Nagaland: Advancing Health and Livelihood Resilience, he emphasized the vital role of renewable resources in modernizing the region.
During the event, Zeliang officially launched the Energy for Health, or E4H, program. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the state's Department of Health and Family Welfare and the SELCO Foundation. The project aims to improve medical service delivery across remote Nagaland by integrating sustainable energy solutions into healthcare facilities.
Zeliang commended the partners and officials involved for their focus on innovation and community participation. He noted that the project represents a significant step toward building a more resilient and sustainable future for the state.
