Kohima: Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio hosted members of the Naga Club at his Kohima residence on July 7. The meeting centered on a proposed construction project for a new club building. Club President Kuolachalie Seyie led the delegation during the sit-down.
The group asked the Chief Minister for ongoing financial support to get the job done. They want the structure to serve as a hub to preserve Naga heritage and values for future generations. The delegation told Rio that the effort is meant to ensure that these traditions remain intact, specifically aiming to protect their "Naga heritage and values for future generations."
Rio listened to the pitch from the club leadership. He is now considering the request for state backing to push the building project forward.
