Imphal: The Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) and the Naga Scholars’ Association (NSA) have issued strong condemnations following the abduction and murder of six Naga men in Manipur. Both groups have described the killings as a barbaric assault on human dignity that demands an immediate and impartial investigation to bring those responsible to account.

The NSA, based in Delhi, alleged that the victims were abducted, tortured, and killed by Leilon Vaiphei villagers in collaboration with the KNF (P). The association reported that the victims’ bodies were mutilated, claiming the acts represent a total breakdown of moral standards. As the organization stated, "The cold-blooded abduction, torture, and brutal killing of these innocent men is a crime of exceptional cruelty."

In response to the tragedy, the ENSA emphasized that such violence against civilians can never be justified. The student body called for unity among Nagas across all borders, urging civil society and community leaders to stand in solidarity with the families of the deceased. They stressed that the pursuit of justice must remain peaceful and lawful while ensuring that those involved in the atrocity are identified and punished.
