Nadda Pledges Federal Aid Following Arunachal Flood Disaster

Itanagar: Union Health Minister and BJP National President J.P. Nadda toured the flash flood and cloudburst-hit areas of Keyi Panyor district on August 6. He arrived to inspect the wreckage firsthand. The minister surveyed the damage and met with families who lost homes and loved ones in the disaster.

Nadda offered his condolences to those mourning. He wished a fast recovery for the injured. The minister stated that the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remains locked in to support the people of Arunachal Pradesh during this crisis.

The Centre promises a full suite of assistance for immediate relief, rehabilitation, and long-term reconstruction. Officials are currently working through heavy rain impacts and widespread destruction across several districts. During his visit, Nadda emphasized the government's resolve, stating, "No stone will be left unturned in ensuring that relief and rehabilitation measures reach every affected family."
