MP Amarsing Tisso Slams School Infrastructure in Karbi Anglong

Guwahati: Diphu MP Amarsing Tisso is calling out the state of government schools in Assam. He recently toured the Singhasan Council constituency in Karbi Anglong. He found failing infrastructure and a lack of basic facilities everywhere he looked. Classrooms need repairs. Toilets and drinking water access are inadequate. He even noted problems with regular teacher attendance and the delivery of mid-day meals.

The inspection highlights a massive failure in service delivery. Tisso noted that these problems exist even for schools sitting right along major roads. He voiced his frustration during the visit. "If the condition of schools located along the roads is so poor, what would be the situation of schools in remote areas?" Tisso said.

The MP now wants a broader look at the region. He believes officials must perform a comprehensive assessment of every school across the district. His findings put fresh pressure on the administration to fix sanitation, attendance, and basic building needs. Students in underserved and remote areas remain the most at risk while these problems persist.
