MP Adhikarimayum Sharda Demands Bipartisan Effort to End Manipur Unrest

Imphal: Rajya Sabha MP Adhikarimayum Sharda warned that the government cannot fix Manipur alone. She demanded a collective push from citizens and political leaders to end the state's ongoing unrest. Sharda spoke at a reception held at the Kakching Chumnang Leikai Community Hall.

Local groups hosted the event. The Kakching District Yogasana Sports Association, the District Yoga Training and Research Association, and Self Help Groups from Kakching Ward No. 4 organized the programme. Sharda argued that party politics have stifled meaningful progress for years. She said, "the responsibility for restoring peace cannot be left to the government alone."

Leaders must drop party agendas. She urged politicians to prioritize state stability over personal or party interests. Naorem Achouba served as the advisor for the event, while Naorem Ibomcha acted as the function president. Kakching Municipal Council Councillors P. Sanahal, N. Memi, and S. Premita attended as guests of honor.
