Imphal: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran led a delegation from the Jesus Calls Mission to the Civil Secretariat in Mantripukhri today. The group met with Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho at his office in the Ministers' Block. The mission aims to unite church leaders and pray for the people of Manipur. They want stability.
Dikho discussed his concerns regarding the state's prolonged violence. He noted that Naga leaders are working to restore order. He credited the government of Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh for its work toward normalcy. "The Government of Manipur, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Yumnam Khemchand Singh, is making concerted efforts to restore peace, normalcy and progress in the state," Dikho said.
Dhinakaran, who serves as Chancellor of Karunya University, outlined the ministry's goal of serving communities through outreach. The team held an intensive prayer session for healing and reconciliation. They prayed for the authorities and those tasked with ending the violence. The group hopes for lasting prosperity in the region.
The meeting included several key figures. Samuel Dhinakaran, Vice Chairman of the Jesus Calls Ministry, attended the talks. Awangbow Newmai, who represents the 52-Tamei Assembly Constituency and convenes the Naga Legislators' Forum, was present. Kajaigai Gangmei, the Director of the Department of Relief and Disaster Management, and Guangmei Gangmei of the Rock Church Ministry also participated in the session.
