Naga MLAs Pressure Manipur Government Over Deputy CM Kipgen

Imphal: Naga legislators are demanding the removal of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen. The political standoff complicates an already tense security situation in Manipur. Naga MLAs met to draft a plan to restore order. They also held talks with Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, the Director General of Police, and the state Security Advisor.

Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho confirmed the meetings. He stated, "We are trying our best. Even today, we had a meeting among our Naga MLAs on how to bring about an immaculate situation. We have had discussions with all the concerned, including the Chief Minister, the DGP and the Security Advisor, to apprise them of the situation and discuss how to bring it under control."

The group seeks to manage the ongoing crisis. Officials have not yet disclosed the government response to the removal demand. The status of the talks remains fluid. Observers wait for the next move from the state government.
