Imphal: The Moyon Naga Baptist Association held a mass candlelight vigil across its churches on Sunday to honor six Naga civilians, including a Reverend and a Pastor, who were abducted and killed in Manipur. This memorial served as part of a larger initiative coordinated by the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India, which organized simultaneous gatherings across its various conventions.

Church members gathered to offer prayers for the victims and express support for their grieving families. Participants used the solemn event to call on state and central authorities to prioritize the investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. The organizers framed the vigil as a unified plea for peace and healing within the region.

The Council of Baptist Churches in North East India represents several regional groups, including the Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam Baptist Conventions. Leaders had asked their constituent members to participate in the observance "prayerfully and meaningfully" as a display of Christian solidarity against the recent violence.
