Guwahati: A 25-year-old man died Thursday following a head-on collision between his motorcycle and a passenger bus in Kokrajhar, Assam. Shaktiman Sutradhar, son of Manik Sutradhar from Bagulamari village in Gendrabill, was killed on the spot.
The crash happened on a bridge along the Narabari to Gendrabill PWD road under the jurisdiction of the Kokrajhar Police Station. Sutradhar was traveling from Gendrabill toward Kokrajhar town for business when he struck the bus, registered as AS 16 AC 4888. He died immediately.
Officers secured the scene. Kokrajhar Police have since detained the passenger bus. Investigators are currently questioning the driver regarding the fatal accident.
