Kohima: Mon district officials toured Naginimora on August 1, 2026. They came to assess flood damage. Deputy Commissioner Wennyei Konyak led the visiting team. He traveled alongside the Superintendent of Police, the Chief Medical Officer, and members of the Konyak Students Union.
The group inspected various sites to evaluate the destruction. They focused on speeding up relief and rehabilitation efforts. The visit served as a show of support for the local families. The administration distributed ex gratia assistance to the family of a person who died in the flood. They also provided relief funds to those who suffered injuries during the disaster. The DIPR report confirmed the team worked to ensure affected residents received necessary aid.
