Kohima: Modern College in Piphema held its graduation ceremony on July 24 at the College Indoor Stadium. K Manikanta, District Youth Officer for MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, delivered the commencement address. He told the students to embrace the future. He said, "Success is often the result of patience, perseverance, and consistent effort, even when progress is not immediately visible."
Manikanta pushed the graduates to trust in God, respect their parents, and honour the teachers who built their character. He noted that a degree is just the start of life. He urged them to keep learning, sharpen their skills, and chase excellence. Hard work pays off. The ceremony also served as a celebration for the staff and faculty.
Modern College earned the Institutional Excellence Award from the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya. This honour recognizes the school for its commitment to high academic standards and strong performance. Principal Dr. Vitsou Yano accepted the award on behalf of the institution during the event.
