Aizawl: Mizoram BJP president and Siaha MLA Dr. K. Beichhua touted the success of the Ayushman Bharat scheme on September 23. He spoke at a gathering at the BJP state office in Aizawl. The event marked the eighth anniversary of the massive health initiative. It covers millions across India.
Beichhua offered praise to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He called the program one of the world's largest healthcare initiatives. The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, or AB-PMJAY, provides up to Rs 5 lakh in yearly cashless coverage to eligible families. Beichhua noted that "more than 60 crore people across states and Union Territories have benefited from the scheme."
The program aims to stop financial ruin from medical bills. It targets the poor and vulnerable. Beichhua stated that the Mizoram BJP remains dedicated to improving health delivery. He urged citizens to spread the word so all eligible people can sign up and get the care they need.
