Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma kicked off the Achievers of the Month initiative on June 30. The program honors citizens who push boundaries in fields like sports, arts, agriculture, and tourism. It targets those generating jobs and fueling growth throughout the state.

Sangma met with 50 local entrepreneurs during the CM Connect event to discuss their progress. He walked away impressed by their drive. The Chief Minister noted, "their entrepreneurial journeys reflected the power of determination, support and self-belief."

The government wants these stories to inspire the next wave of local business owners. Officials hope this recognition encourages young people to chase big goals and start their own ventures. The state remains dedicated to building a system where every entrepreneur has the space to win.
