Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma handed out cash grants on July 1. He issued the money through the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund to local entrepreneurs, schools, and community groups. It is a push for growth. The money goes to projects that create jobs, fix school buildings, and back women’s groups across the state.

The government wants to help people who make a real difference. Sangma stated that the goal is "supporting development initiatives, promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening educational institutions and empowering community-based organisations across the state." These funds aim to turn ideas into action while lifting up communities that need the help most.
