Imphal: Manipur University and Malaysia based INTI International University inked a formal agreement this Thursday. The virtual signing ceremony solidifies a new partnership for academic cooperation. Both institutions will now pursue joint research, student exchanges, and internship programs.
Registrar M Premjit Singh represented Manipur University. Pro-Vice Chancellor Goh Khang Wen signed for INTI. Witnesses included Manipur University Vice Chancellor RK Hemakumar Singh, Dean Memcha Loitongbam, and INTI Director Asokan Vasudevan. The deal aims to boost student learning.
INTI will host up to 20 exchange students from Manipur University every semester. These students pay zero tuition and receive free housing. They only cover a visa fee of 1,500 Malaysian Ringgit. The agreement covers science, technology, engineering, business, finance, liberal arts, social sciences, and sustainable goals.
During the session, INTI touted its QS 4-Star rating and high Asian university rankings. Ch Ibohal Meitei, Director of the Manipur Institute of Management Studies, stated, "The partnership helps Manipur University implement the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by offering better global exposure and learning opportunities for students."
