Imphal: Manipur Police hauled in four suspects and 239 kilograms of ganja on July 4. The busts went down across several spots under the Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East.

Officers flagged down Mataimei W. Shimray from Ukhrul district as he drove a Mahindra Bolero Pick-up, registration number MN-01AA-5728. They hauled him in on the spot. Shortly after, police grabbed 18-year-olds Ngangbam Dinesh and Phuritshabam Yaiphaba Meitei near Chingarel Tejpur. The pair had a TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle in their possession.

Security forces did not stop there. They hit a home at Pungdongbam Makha Leikai to pick up 42-year-old Oinam Abung Meetei. Authorities confirmed the motive behind the linked operations, stating, "Further investigation into the case is underway."

Police now hold the stash and all seized vehicles. The investigation continues as officials piece together the supply chain.
