The Chief Minister provided updates on ongoing work for major regional arteries, including the Imphal-Jiribam Road and the Imphal-Dimapur highway. Singh confirmed that land compensation disputes in Noney district along National Highway-37 have been resolved after a revised survey and cabinet approval, allowing construction to begin. Similar land issues in Kangpokpi district regarding the Imphal-Dimapur highway were also reported as settled following a cabinet-approved special package. Additionally, the state is currently working with stakeholders to address land concerns affecting the Imphal-Ukhrul-Jessami highway.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also finalized a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Manipur government for the Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0. The signing ceremony included Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil and state officials, including Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho.
According to the state government, this new phase of the program shifts the focus from initial infrastructure development to long-term reliability. The mission aims to ensure sustainable drinking water services in rural areas.
