Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh hosted a delegation of Naga village headmen at the State Secretariat on Thursday. The group came from Senapati district to push for better public services and local infrastructure.

Association president Silas Zho and secretary Joseph Chache led the meeting. They laid out a list of concerns regarding how people in their region make a living. The Chief Minister listened to their pitch. He promised the government will keep working on projects to boost the area.

Singh insisted that upgrading Senapati is vital for the state to move forward. He pledged to keep the government focused on fair progress for every community. "The development of Senapati was important for the state's overall progress," Singh said. This sit-down marked another step in the government strategy to engage directly with local leaders to fix community issues.
