Man arrested after stabbing incident in Guwahati

Guwahati: A youth identified as Binit Kumar Ray was stabbed with a sharp weapon under the Six Mile flyover in Guwahati on May 24. The attack occurred in a high traffic area and caused significant alarm among local residents and commuters.

Officers arrived at the scene quickly and took a suspect named Abdul Motaleb into custody shortly after the event. Police also located a blood-stained knife at the scene, which they believe was used during the altercation. The victim, who resides in Panjabari, was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

Authorities are now working to determine the motive behind the assault and the events that led to the confrontation. This attack follows a series of violent incidents in the city involving weapons, leading local law enforcement to increase surveillance and security measures in sensitive neighborhoods.
